Looking for some creative inspiration? Start a swipe file. You may have one already, but call it something else. It’s a folder – usually on your computer – where you save items to look at later.
Here’s how it works. Take a screen shot of designs you like (or a picture with your phone) and file them in a Digital folder – a manilla folder could work too.
You can save sales letters, articles, landing pages, special offers, emails or headlines that you want to check out, but don’t have time right now.
Save all you want, but purge your swipe file every month so it doesn’t get out of hand.
Personally, I’m a fan of magazine and tabloid headlines. They always grab my attention and I wonder who writes them. I also wonder if they’ve gone through some kind of a headline analyzer.
If you’re looking for a list of top headline analyzers, shoot me a quick email with the subject line headlines and I’ll send it to you. I’m Robin Samora, host of Fast Marketing Minute, and my email is Robin@RobinSamora.com. Talk tomorrow!
